Something broken, something wrong, or just a question — write to us and a person will read it.

We're a very small operation, so expect a day or two rather than an hour. If you're reporting a bug, telling us your phone model and what you were doing saves a round trip.
Common questions
Is the halal scanner a certification?
No. It reads a product's ingredient list and flags ingredients and E-numbers known to be non-halal or disputed, and it shows you which one triggered the verdict so you can judge for yourself. Ingredient lists change, manufacturers differ by region, and some ingredients are genuinely disputed among scholars. Treat it as a useful first check on something you would otherwise have to read in full — not as a ruling.
Where do the calorie numbers come from?
Three different places, and the app distinguishes them. Foods you search come from the Open Food Facts database. Recipe figures are calculated from the listed ingredients for a stated serving size. Photo and voice logging is an AI estimate, labelled as such with a confidence level. Only the first is a published figure; the rest are calculations and guesses, and you can correct them before anything is saved.
Do I need an account?
No. Everything works without one and your data stays on your phone. An account exists only so your diary can be restored if you change phone.
How do I delete my data?
In the app: More → Settings → My profile → Danger zone. You can erase all local data, or permanently delete your account and everything stored with it. Account deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Why do some sleep figures show a dash?
Because we don't know them. Breaking a night into REM, core and deep sleep needs a wearable such as an Apple Watch. Without one, Cabbiro shows a dash rather than estimating from how long you were in bed — an invented figure you might plan around is worse than an honest gap.
Can I use it without internet?
Mostly, yes. Your diary, workouts, recipes, prayer tracking and sleep logs all work offline. The things that need a connection are barcode lookups, photo and voice logging, and cloud sync.
Are the hadiths verified?
They are taken from published Sunni collections — Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawud and Jami' at-Tirmidhi — with their reference numbers. For Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi we include only narrations graded authentic. If you spot an error, please tell us and we'll correct it.
Reporting a problem
Useful things to include: your phone and OS version, what you were trying to do, what happened instead, and whether it happens every time. If a halal verdict looks wrong, the product barcode helps a lot — that lets us check the ingredient data directly.
